EIM MaritmeTraining Centre was founded in 1990 and its main objective was to develop educational programs and provide underpinning knowledge to the students of Merchant Marine Academy and the deck and Engineer officers studying the KESEN State School in the following subjects:

English in a PC based laboratory classroom.

Given the nature of the ship environment and the changes
in the modern shipping arrangements, it is it was found of paramount importance the:
• Shaping of Safety Culture
• Need for good management
• Development of Teamwork skills
• Effective communication skills
• Knowledge base

Development & Expansion
In 2004 the EIM Maritime Training Centre was
established and certified in compliance with the
ISO 9001:2000 Standard.

In 2006, a new company was established the
EIM Maritime Training Centre and was
integrated, in order to facilitate the development
and the expansion of training programs to
respond to the new training needs.

   
As a Maritime educational and training Institution, EIM following STCW95 specific quality & performance standards develops & provides courses & seminars in line with the market demands & experience. The Centre as well as the provided courses & seminars are accredited under ISO 9001:2000 Quality standard & DNV NO. 3.201 Training standard by Det Norske Veritas
